• Compassionate parenting means implementing parenting strategies with mindful awareness, acceptance and empathy. It emphasizes noticing and understanding children’s needs. The key focus is on supporting children’s resolution of these needs and long term growth instead of gaining immediate social recognition.
• The principal of understanding, acceptance and empathy is also applicable to parents and caretakers. Recognize the challenges of parenthood and focus on self-care and support rather than blaming.
