This is a bundle purchase of three better sleep resources written based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia.
1. The understanding sleep psychoeducation worksheet includes an introduction of our circadian rhythm, the stages of sleep, basic knowledge of dreams, causes of insomnia, tips to cope with night shift work, relationship between sleep and mental well-being, the thoughts and behaviors that could affect our sleep and a page of healthy sleep practices guideline.
2. The coping with insomnia worksheet is comprised of two pdf files:
(i) 15 pages of self-help worksheet including sleep diary (daily and weekly), healthy sleep practices, two relaxation practices plus practice record, reappraisal record for sleep-related thoughts and one page of four blank coping cards for personalized use.
(ii) 18 pages of introduction to the rationale of reappraisal exercises in cognitive behavioral therapy and its application in coping with sleep disturbances.
3. The 36 insomnia coping cards consist of 3 themes:
(i) Facts about sleep cue cards:
- Three pages, 4 cards per page
- Basic information about what governs our sleep, sleep cycles and facts about sleep across the lifespan. Suitable to be used as a refresher.
(ii) Sleep hygiene cue cards:
- Two pages, 4 cards per page
- Reminders on routine and activities we engage in during the day, before going to bed and while in bed that could affect our sleep.
(iii) Thoughts about sleep cue cards:
- Four pages, 4 cards per page
- Learn to respond to 16 common beliefs about sleep that might heighten our anxiety and thereby maintain sleep problems.
